1. Every Catholic Faithful (Practicing Catholic)
within the station between the ages of fifteen (15) and forty (40) and whether
married or single shall be entitled to be a member of the Organization.

There shall be a probationary period of three
(3) months consecutive congress meetings and other functions before a new
member shall be admitted fully into the Organization. Within this time, the
Organization shall study the member’s characters including attendance and level
of participation in all youth activities during this period, while the
Organization has the right to reject membership to any intending individual
found wanting or ask such applicant to repeat the period.
3. Registration fee shall be Two Hundred Naira
(N200.00) only, and a membership card shall be given to the registered member.
4. Any Catholic faithful outside the age brackets,
subject to the provision of Article 4.1, shall be free to be a member of, or
admitted into, the Organization if the Executive Councils are satisfied that:
a. He/she has shown a clear intention of his/her
desire expressively to be a member; and that
b. He/she has not been registered as a member of
the Catholic Men Organization or the Catholic Women Organization.
5. Every
young Catholic faithful shall be entitled to be a member, if he/she has:
a. Concluded the registration process(es) as deemed
necessary by the Organization; and
b. Taken the oath of obedience as provided in
Article 13.2 of this Constitution.
6. All members shall have the Organization’s
identity card and/or membership card for membership identification, or other
permitted purposes when the need arises. It shall not be transferable.
7. Any transferred youth member from any
outstation, parish, deanery, diocese or province, shall be entitled to be a
member without undergoing probation, if he/she has any of these documents:
membership card or transfer letter or identity card of the previous CYON body.
Such document must be presented to the executive council for verification
before registering him/her fully as member.
8. All members shall pay the approved fees for the
copy of the Organization’s constitution and identity card.
9. Every member is expected to always come to every
meeting with their membership card and identity card.
